Mine Pit WiFi Solutions

Mine Pit and Industrial WiFi Solutions

Engineered outdoor wireless for operational areas. We extend enterprise WiFi to workshops, laydowns, processing plants and suitable pit environments using outdoor-rated access points, point-to-point and sector links, industrial enclosures and fibre backhaul, designed from site surveys and coverage modelling.

Workshops, maintenance yards and plant areas increasingly need connectivity for tablets, work orders, inspections and video calls with remote experts.

Outdoor industrial environments demand equipment and design that cope with dust, heat, vibration and distance.

Design approach

We survey the site, model coverage, plan power and mounting, and choose outdoor-rated access points and wireless bridges. Fibre or point-to-point links carry traffic back to the core network.

Enterprise WiFi is not a control network

Enterprise and industrial WiFi for people and business devices is distinct from specialised networks for autonomous haulage, fleet management, control or safety systems, and from private cellular. Those networks are designed by specialist providers; we coordinate where our networks meet.

We do not design autonomous haulage, control, safety or private cellular networks.

Delivery methodology

How we deliver

01

Assess

We review your sites, users, connectivity and risks, and confirm scope, access and induction requirements.

02

Design

We select standard, supportable technology and document the solution, costs and delivery plan.

03

Deploy

Equipment is prepared and tested before dispatch; remote and field engineers implement around your rosters.

04

Support

Everything is monitored and supported 24/7, with field services coordinated when physical work is needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you cover the whole pit with WiFi?

+

Large-scale pit coverage for operational systems is a specialised design. We cover suitable areas for people and business devices.

What about power at remote masts?

+

We plan mains, PoE or solar options as appropriate.

How far can point-to-point links reach?

+

Many kilometres with clear line of sight; a survey confirms feasibility.

Is equipment rated for mine conditions?

+

We specify outdoor-rated equipment and industrial enclosures suited to the environment.
